What sporty options are there?

Miltech, TME, "build your own" from Powerflow. Depends what sort of thing your looking for really?

something that looks reasonably normal but with a deep burble sound.

Nothing chav, just something to let the engine talk!! :B_steerin

Miltek seem to be the favoured option because they don't boom on the motorway, having said that Tomcats exhaust sounded really good on his white T5 but the make is unknown...

I'm hoping to listen to a few different options next week at the Heaton Park meet.

My Miltek, (supplied by VT), is very nice .... not at all obtrusive at normal speeds but does sound very fruity at WOT (ask Justin or Viking T5 ;)) :)

Just for info If Tomcat is still using the stainless exhaust he bought from me then it was built by longlife in Cardiff s.wales. :)

i went the miltek option but have yet to hear the car from the outside with someone else driving my car so can not say what it sounds like from the outside but it is not that noticable from the inside, but the service from vt is first class they had it shipped to me all the way to cornwall at a very good price

My old exhaust was hand made from the cat back, only a small back box and it sounded amazing, Very droney at motorway speeds tho so that was its downside

My new exhaust is only a replacement for the back box which was removed but its silent, Again hand made but the "suitcase" will need to be removed, its too quiet

RPM - she did have a Volvo sports exhaust on when I first had her (had to be replaced because a hanger on box broke away) - so she did once sound deeper without causing offence! (Ask Moppy, she liked it).

The Volvo sports one was a central box with a small tail box, as opposed to the suitcase style standard one that's on now.

RPM, i recommend a Ferrita exhaust from the cat back. Had mine done at SWautos in Biddenden, Kent. Rear end is 90mm round (not chav). Exhaust note is .....FANTASTIC and you cant really hear it after 70mph on the motorway. But it burbles deeply on tickover, you have to hear it to appreciate it.

That's one of the drawbacks with our cars, too much sound proofing and you cannot hear much outside,

I had a TME - which is slightly louder than the Miltec but not as loud as say a longlife. Miltec is pretty cool though - loud when it needs to be.

Hawleys Tyres in Hillsborough, Sheffield made me a Powerflow System all fitted for £270, lifetime warranty, you pick the sections you want, they weld it up, i chose the 5incj tail pipe.

Also www.exhaustsuk.com (http://www.exhaustsuk.com) do custom builds, there on Attercliffe Common, Sheffield.

I am selling my Ferrita cat-back exhaust if you're interested... 2 1/2 inch stainless and sounds lovely, but just too small for my ambitions! lol

I'll put it up for sale in the "Classifieds" section in the next few days.
