By coincidence ive found the rattle noise my car is doing. With the fan set to 0, i set the temp on the fan controls anywhere within the numbers (18-26?) i hear a rattling noise, its not constant but is there most of the time, but when i turn the dial to fully cold or hot, the noise dissapears, this is with the climate control off, will check later today if it occurs when the CC is on.
The CC doesnt go as cold as expected so it definately needs a re-gass at least. Is this rattle noise im hearing because the freon levels have been low for a long time? Will it dissapear when i get it regassed? Or is it a knackered evaparator (the one underneath the dash), dry bearings?
