HELP

decided to pull my front seat to see if i could find anything obvious that was causing the heated sets not to work
I hink i have found it
the red and red and white wires have both pulled away from their spade connectors and are both floating freely

my question is this which terminals do they goto on the connector in the seat ?? I am saauming red to the centre and red/white to the outer
or doesnt it matter ??

any quick advice greatly appreciated as i really want to get theis back together b4 the light goes

cheers

As far as I know it doesn't matter, I've had them come out before and just stuck em back in any old way, both the spade connectors are the same size anyway.

Just checking you've had the wiring retrofit from Volvo?

Don't want you roasting your Chestnuts...

Hi Tstart,
You mention yours is outside the vin numbers for the recall, where can I get that info from?

I have got a Feb 96 850 GLT T5 saloon auto, which was fitted with full black leather from new, but I can't get a striaght answer out of my main dealer regading this particular recall or the recall for the emission control pipes.

Many thanks.

Top posting, this is the second 850 that i've had where the drivers seat didn't work, the first one had no problem with the wires so i just gave up with it. I've had this one a year and not bothered to look thinking it was the same problem as the other one, just worn out. Read your post, had a look, put the wires back on and presto warm arse. Just going to ring the dealership now to check about recall.
Thanks
