cam belt

Hi,
Ive changed the cam belt last week, the car is a 855 T5 1996 and should have a 148 tooth cam belt but it has a 143 tooth belt which is from a early 850.

Is it possible to fit a early 850 head on a late 850 block ?

If not then some one must have changed the engine for an early one !!!!

:slap: Why are you assuming the worst. Check chassis numbers with Volvo to get correct belt first. The may tell you different.

As for engine change, i guess so. They are the same. Check with VT thou first, bit extreme thou i think to have to do all that .
