Ok peeps its brain picking time,

The good chap Liddo and myself are in the proccess of swapping ECU`s so he can pay for the repairs to his car

We both have S70 T5`s the only differance is that mine has "TRACS" and Liddo`s doesn`t

We have matched up the numbers on the entire top line of the ECU and the other 2 lines are not far off each other

So the question is what do we need to look out for when putting them back in and firing up also what should i check on my car before i do fire up

Any help on this would be much appreciated especially by me as i will have the rica 280 remapped ECU going into a stock T5 and i don`t want to end up in the same boat as Liddo as that would entirely defeat the object of this swap

Thanks

Stuart and Paul

First off, I *think* TRACS is controlled by the ABS ECU although this may be in conjunction with the engine ECU.

As to what to check for, basically everything in a standard service plus look for airleaks etc. The boys at VT would be able to advise a bit more on this.

To be honest, if the ECU isn't going to work you'll probably find that the car doesn't start. I'm not sure there is much else you can check for just before starting the car up for the first time after the swap.

Good luck

Stuart,

Don at Kalmar Union added a message on the "other" forum to say that the 1st row of numbers in the top left are the most important, and ours match :D
So we should be ok. PM Adam at VT, and see how much he'd charge to check the hoses for ya. Wouldnt take long to get there from Notts would it???
If ya not syre, just dont use full boost until you are, cos you'll bend a rod, like i did :slap:

Once you know its ok though :jaw: you'll love it ;)
