Hello all, i need to keep you upto speed as there are some huge developments about to take place :)
Moppy and I have been working behind the scenes for a while now trying to get feedback on what you guys want/dont want. And all that goes with it :(
Tuff task, i have also had things that i have wanted to do with the site and after 18 months of planning, preperation and some very long meetings, we are now ready to commence.
To cut a long story short we have been liasing with Volvo UK and decided to progress the site a few steps further due to your constant commitment and dedication to this site. So with Volvo Uk's approval as of Wednesday 25th of January 2006 we will be known not as VolvoT5 and VolvoD5.co.uk but as:
THE VOLVO PERFORMANCE CLUB UK.
This is a huge step for us as i'm sure you can imagine, although the go ahead was a brief term its taken us a year+ to get to the stage where we could put the proposal forward. It will be very much a working progress, so please check back for updates to the site, new features etc. in the coming weeks there will also be a paid up members area, (details to follow.)
As of 12 midday on Wednesday 25th or there abouts the sites will be down for approximately 4 hours, there will be no need to change your bookmarks as T5 and D5 will become re-directs to the new site.
The new URL will be www.vpcuk.org (http://www.vpcuk.org/)
Your comments and thoughts are welcome on this subject on this thread. I personally would like to know what you guys think, as i have stated from day 1, this is your site. :)
Biggest thanks ever possible to Moppy, (Couldn't have done it without you) and all at Volvo UK for thier help so far......
Your thread guys ;)

Top job people, its great to be involved in a site that although alot of us havent met each other we all ' know' each other ... sounds cheesy perhaps but forums defo would never be something i was into but it is great being part of this one!! What would be really ace now just to top this off is involvment in some performance/ shine / anything show to let others see the work that goes on and the committment our forum members have to the site!!
Well done !!!!

Well done to both of you, it shows the effort you've put in when you get recognition from the manufacturers themselves. Any more info on the paid up members area ??

I personally would like to say a HUGE thanks to Justin and Moppy, for their efforts. I think it is awesome. The tie up between Volvo UK and ourselves gives us a massive boost to our credability and will ensure that this club moves ever on upwards and forwards. I am very excited to be a part of the cutting edge of Volvo developments and the forward movement of this site/club.
I would also say a huge hello :wavey: and thanks to the regulars and irregulars - as you peeps make this place what it is.
Feeling the OVLOV!!

Hi guys it is indeed a very great time for this site, I am very happy that the forum is going upwards and onwards,
One little thing though, the name, is that the final name for this site? as it is very close to the darker side of the VOC in terms of name,
If it is then so be it, & when do we get our new stickers and can they be a wee bit larger than the previous ones?
All the best Gary
