Hi guys and gals,

Long time no see. I think I know the answer to this, but I have water droplets in the dip-stick tube, as well as mayo, and also a bit of mayo in the oil filler bit. Head gasket or condensation (me hopes)? :slap:

If head gasket, how much should it cost to fix?

Cheers,
Giles.

Forgot to add - it's been stood all of Jan as I have not been able to afford tax this month - I randomly run it for 15 mins or so once a week - notices the mayo and droplets this morning upon a board inspection. Get white smoke out exhaust while it's warming, and also water has come out of exhaust - but, as I said, it's been stood for a week outside since it's last run.

Are you losing coolant?

If not, it could just be condensation.

Yes - but through the cracked coolant cap and also white deposits on thermostat where it's been leaking. But I have had to top the coolant up now and again

easy advice - do an oil change first, then run it for a couple of weeks and see if your loosing water....As long as you don't hammer it to death you should be able to see the temp guage rise if there's any problem...
