Probably stabilises oscillations at a guess.
Very useful if you have unstable oscillations! ;)

I stumbled accross this when sifting through said auction site too - went straight over the top of my head, I'm afraid.

i think its a part that is fitted to the exhaust on some cars,
its a heavy weight that is bolted or fixed to a long part of an exhaust
to stop any resinations caused by certain engine revs,
some cars have them,some dont need em,
just a guess but thats wot it looks like

i thought it was something to do with fitting an aftermarket cd autochanger,
although it does say, quote:-

Some marks on all wheels

perhaps it comes with a free set of rims?...lol
