By an ABS ECU?

Not as you all may be thinking though!

Dave turned up as promised to help me with removimg my old ABS ECU and replace it with his one......

Bit of nosh and get the tools out lets have a go - for some funny reason my T5 decided to hold on to it's ABS bolts with vigour, then after some swearing and sweating a simple crack the bolt I thought was the bugger came free!!!!!!!!!!!, yeahhhhhhhh,we were nearly there, only one to go!!!!!

Some more climing over the engine, couple of more bolts, wifes mirror (not the same ECU - no worries), lots of swearing, sticky bolts, pulling clutch cables out of the way, rounded the top of these bloody silly torx E5 bolts - ££££, seems a good name for clever clothes.

Put the rest of the thing together, HAMISH you may get a call very soon, but I am very very impresed with the tenacity of the wing commander, I am only sorry that my car seemed to defeat him in the ABS stakes,

Dave I hope you get home OK, sorry Bernard beat you, Hamish, please give me a discount!!!!!!.

PS - I stayed in the pub a couple of hours after Dave left.

WOBBLY DAVE IS THE BUSINESS - HE REALLY DOES CARE - SORRY MY CAR BEAT HIM - I FEEL CRAP! :slap:

I couldnt believe how tight that bugger was done up. I fear the only way to get to it is to remove the pump entirely. :pants:

I got home just fine - thanks for having me round (food was fab!!)

I have encountered these ' tyight swedish ' bolts too!!! I had to replace the clutch slave cylinder at the gearbox .... it is a nightmare to even get to the thing ...swedes must has small elaticated hands!! but feck me , the effort it took to crack the hyraulic pipe nut off was a joke !!! i am no lightweight an dnothing short of lying over the engine, standing on teh front bumper etc would move this nut.....then with effort it starts to round so i think i have no chance now it gives up and frees off!!!!! Took longer to free that than it did to order the part fit it and bleed it!!!!!
