i apologise in advance as i'm sure its been covered before, but i cant find it!

got my first t5 today and wondered what the boost guage should do? at the mo it just sits straight up, on boost it does nothing, is this right or should the needle move into the white?

The needle should move into the white when on the "gas"

The boost will only move to the desired amount when your driving down the road...Which should be about 1/2 to 2/3 in standard mode.

If it ain't working, but your convinced that your turbo is working fine, then it'll just be an Air leak in the system... Are you near anybody to help you out...?

i'm pretty sure the turbo is working fine. just out of interest with the ignition off should the needle fall to the left or stay in the centre? at the mo it sits in the centre regardless it seems

possibly it may be disconnected.
if you take off the black plastic cover over the throttle cable in the engine bay off you should see the pipe that goes to the boost gauge, it is whitish in colour and made of a hard plastic it goes all round the front of the car and through the bulkhead to the boost gauge.
