bonnet release

Morning all,

just before Christmas the bonnet release on my 98 s40 came apart, I can now only open it by using a pair of pliers on the cable. Is the bonnet release "handle" easy to replace? (if so, how please?)

Dont know if its the same as the 850 but if it is there are plenty of members that have suffered the same problem that should be able to help.
