Shades of the old 1800ES here, great looking car!

The SCC was a showcase for many new safety features and also a hint that Volvo would be making a small car, hopefully the C30 doesnt share much in the way of styling with the SCC which doesnt look brilliant, ultimately its based on a shortened S40 chassis with a unique suspension set up and hopefully getting launched in T5 AWD form, no idea of prices yet as its still 11-12months off.

i also read a rumour a few months back, that Volvo may be using this vehicle to launch its first electric hybrid engine. they wasn't sure just how likely it was, but it was apperently an option in the pipeline

Not heard that to be honest, asked a few times about hybrids when down at Daventry and everytime the answer has been the same, their not going to do them and have no interest in them, but never know what their upto really!

They have been denying the existence of the XC50 all of last year, shame my mate works at the company who designs the suspension for Volvo's and hes been working on that for months, still denied it tho! Hes on with the new S60/V70 suspension now and have recently finished off the C30 suspension.
