Hi,

I was putting the window down today, and it all just fell through.

Someones had a look at it and say that the cable has snapped! U can still here the motor working, but nothings happening!

Phoned volvo and they say that i will have to buy a whole unit, and its not as simple as replacing a cable!

This they say costs £428.00 not including labour costs!

Does anyone know if its easy to fix, or will i have to replace the whole unit.

If anyone knows how to do it, i would really really appreciate step by step guide.

Volvo c70 t5 yr 2000

Thanks all.

never fear - wobbly dave is here. I am truly saddened by the demise of your window regulator, but you do soooo benefit from my lack of talent by planting felicity into a field - as you no doubt know....http://www.volvot5.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=6002

I have a window regulator from her going for £165 (exc P&P) should you want it?

Door panel is fubared - glass is smashed but the reg is good as gold! Let me know?

If you want I will even help you fit it?

I have both regulators on frames out of both doors from felicity (no glass). Pretty straight forward to swap them over?

I will even assist in fitting them, should you wish.

We'll need to get yours out, swap the glass and drop in the frame. Should take about an hour & 1/2

Let me know.
