To be factually correct, the B5254T was fitted to Volvo's from 1997-99, 850 AWD or 850 2.5T, S70 2.5T or S70 AWD, V70 2.5T, V70 AWD or V70 2.5T AWD, V70 XC AWD or V70 XC 2.5T AWD and C70 2.5T Coupe and convertible.
All were turbocharged with 190 bhp and 2.4 cylinder. This engine does not have Dual VVT.

**Are you specifically meaning the B5254T or do you mean the B5254T2, -T3, -T3.....right up to T14!?**

As to which ones had dual VVT, that would be the S60R/V70R 2004-2007 and the B5254T3 that is only fitted to the Ford Focus RS from 2009-2010. Some other variants of the huge list above also have VVT and Dual VVT**

You must do your own research or contact Volvo for that info as some only have Exhaust cam VVT.

However, if you specifically mean the B5254T (only), then the answer is none of them have Dual VVT.

I did mean the V40 as mentioned in OP but then I realised later that many countries didn't get the V40 in the late model 2014 era. It has a slightly shorter stroke to make it sub 2500cc where the earlier has higher than 2500cc capacity in the B5254t. I am looking for a motor to rebuild and put into my S40 AWD T5 2.5 2006. As the RS is super rare in Australia I'm checking what other engines would an ideal motor to rebuild for a straight exchange into my s40. I've been hunting around for S60R or V70R info as the the B5254t in these cars have a K24 which would be a good bang for buck vs buying other B5254t variant and buying a K16 separately. However I can't find anyone that can tell me about the K24 on an S40 2006 Chassis and if it would physically fit (ignoring oil n water lines to turbo and dump pipe.)

im assuming your car can be upgraded to KO4 turbo from your last comment, in which case the S60R/V70R engines are no good to you as this is the ford ERA, also the K24 turbo will be no use unless your prepared/can relocate the exhaust downpipe to the opposite side it is now which would also mean using an earlier manifold and custom pipework. Did you not get the Focus ST over there???

Did you not get the Focus ST over there???Isn't the k04 the standard turbo? So the K24 faces the opposite direction? Interesting. I'm OK with custom dump pipe. Might ask be cheaper than buying a k16 turbo. We did get the Focus St but it has and power as my s40 so I assume it's the same turbo over here. Australia usually gets detuned versions. The RS is the only model with k16 over here it seems.
