Hi folks, time to get up and run those Volvo's to the sea side, though some amazing Welsh countryside, snaffle some chips and enjoy an amazing run back out. Kick of will be Thursday 7.00pm please (I know this is tight), so early arrival would be good but the route could allow for some to catch up, satnav post codes to follow as this is all on the hoof at present and will be pinned down in the next few days.....so dust off those Volvo's and get ready to feel the sand under your tyres.. more new as it unfolds...but the chips are real I promise.. hope to see you all soon

Thanks Lee, something else I'll have to sort out now. Amazing how garages can't even do a simple job like that, it was like it when we bought it. It must have been the gorgeous colour that made me miss noticing the wonky plate.

What part of the coast are you aiming for?

Think I've thrashed it out now and we will be heading for Ynyslas, Borth. We will start out from Llanfair Cereinion's light railway station at 7pm and run over to Carno, then up through Dylife and on into Machynlleth for chips at just after 8pm, we'll then run on down to Ynyslas, we could then run on somewhere else for refreshments, when we know which direction most are heading home in.

Well just a small update that the run went ahead as planned, 3 cars turned up for the start time and we set off form Llanfair Caereinion over the top of the hills to Carno. When unfortunately we lost a car, as one of Colin's rolled arches had caught the tyre and pulled out and was chewing his tyre up over any bumpy roads, due to his rear suspension being a bit soft at present. So sadly the convoy off 3 olive green 855's was now down to 2, as Colin then turned to head for home. From Carno we then ran on down to Llanidloes to pick up the amazing B4518 to Staylittle, a road built for T-5's in our opinion and highly recommended, we then turned for Dylife and ran over to Machynlleth for a quick stop to pick up chips. From there it was a short hop down and onto Ynsylas beach to the runs planned end, where we munched our chips as the sun finished setting and darkness fell. Many thanks to Colin and Dave for turning out and here's a few shots to tease the one's that missed this for one reason or other, I hope to do a few more of these runs on the occasional week day evenings, but our window of opportunity may have passed for this year, as the nights are starting to draw in a fair bit now, but we'll see what comes up.

Looked like a great Evening out, and wow, the scenery. A coast run for me would be Blackpool, so scenic but a different kind...............

It was a great evening out, it was just a shame the third musketeer was missing...hopefully he'll be able to make it next time
