Hi Guys.
i need some advice.

as we now having again two dogs and i am planning going on holiday in couple weeks i am in need of some roof bars for the roof box.

i dont have the rails on the side which seems to be a problem to get roof racks or bars to fit the car.

thule seems on google search the only ones to supply them but charging the horrendous amount of 130 quit for it.

would anyone know what other cars or types having the same roofbars as the v70s or may even know where i can get them cheaper as a month rent for a house please?

V70's are not really designed to have bars WITHOUT the rails!

You'd be better off getting a second hand set off ebay for around £100 then buying the proper roof bars to fit the rails.
You'll have more options with the rails than without them.

Thule are slightly expensive, but like everything in life...you get what you pay for!

If your putting a large, heavy item on your roof you don't want it falling off. So be very careful in your consideration of fitments of Roof bars.
Using the roof bars with the rails also increases the load strength, as you'll be spreading the load across the whole length of the roof, rather than just onto the anchor points of the bars on the naked roof.

i got brand new roof rails from previous car but need the rails on the side. was considering it but not sure how much work it is to install. i dont want to mess anything up because i am unable to install the rails for some reason. never done it. i know a breaker to get black side rails for 20 quit which is ok. but what do i need to do to get it on and what do it need to have with it. at the present i only have them plastic inserts on the roof.
