Wood inserts c70 or other Volvo

Has anyone removed the wood affect inserts on a c70 around gearshift ,glove box etc and swap them for something a bit more neutral/modern

I've done it on mine, swapped the wood for aluminium. Glove box and gearbox and rear are easy, the centre bit, well all I can say is, have patience, flexible body parts, and lots of extensions,swivel joints, a mirror and more patience.

In the end it's worth it though.

Same. I've put V70R/ Late model C70 Aluminium ones in mine, I have the centre (stereo surround), but mine is black, not wood, and it was such a total c*** to get out, I haven't changed it yet.
