6 speed gearbox

can somebody please tell me which volvo 6 speed gearbox will fit my 1997 volvo t5 with the easiest route i take it i will need clutch and linkage as well

M66 fwd will do the job nicely....Oblark has one fitted in his 855 and there is a build thread on here if you have a look as the linkage does require some work from memory

To fit the M66 gearbox to a T5 you'll need to manufacture a rear gearbox mount and modify the gear linkage on the gearbox.

ah...so you modified the levers to suit the the linkage cables Rob, I was hoping to make custom bushes that would also do the adaption when I fit my m66 awd to the v70r awd p1, I realised I'd need to make a custom cable bracket, but that doesn't look to be a big issue for me, rear mount is something I'd over looked though....!!!

With the awd set up you won't need the rear gearbox mount you'll side to make one to fit on the side of the gearbox.

I'm wondering if I still have any of the m66 to 850 cable brackets anywhere, I known 100 percent I still have the jig.
