Retrofitting OEM xenons?

Currently have an 05 d5 that I've picked up a set of bixenons from a s60r... conflicting information online whether it's do able.
Took an expensive punt on it working!

Wondered if there was any legs in using an aftermarket HID kit for the xenon element?
