Took my tdi over to Martin earlier today for general health check and a few more gee gees:). not happy that his original map was quite enough he set to work removing computer chips, reflashing new settings put the thing back together again followed by road test. He did this three times in total just to get it right and took several hours. The 2 hour drive home was somewhat entertaining. I did receive a very confused look from a new 325 beemer as to how I was able to share his Lane...lol. I even managed a few more mpg on the way back despite a very different driving style.😉 This forum is really one of the best out there and I am really chuffed to have met Martin. Truly nice fella and could not recommend his help highly enough.

I'm really looking forward to getting my clatter-bus down to his, so he can work his magic!

Get it done. I very nearly sold my car as it was not ticking the power box. Not now. The power delivery very different to the R. Comes in a bit later on mine due to auto but perfect for overtakes and pulls all the way to 72mph...

Excellent stuff. What ball park figures are you looking at now it is mapped? I enjoyed reading Martin's project thread with the HE221W turbo. He seems like a real enthusiast.

Really hard to say but I guess around the 170bhp and around 400nm torque. Need to get on dyno for sure as I'm really curious. We think we can get a tad more but I don't want to break it. Well keep like this to see if any issues show up. I have a couple of things to look at on Martin's suggestion so we well set how that goes.
