Manual T5's have the 16T turbo. So unless you plan to upgrade to a larger one then I suggest this is the one for you!

he seems to think it will be a 15T though dude... and its either £100 or £150 depending on weather its a 15T or a 16T

well that bodes well then cause thats £50 cheaper LOL and then theres my discount on top of that ( so long as the discount is still in place that is !!)

but if it will take a 16 then i will pay the extra £35 ( after discount) and bang one of those on.

heya, you have a 15g conical flange on an M reg- the Mnf'r No on the plate is 49189-01300.
The straight flanged unit's no. is 49189-01310.
Don't take my word for it though, check the no. on the plate... you should be able to get at it by removing the large hose and sticking your phone camera (using the light) down to take the snap ! Saves taking the whole damned thing out..

I'm looking to replace my turbo cuz it's burning da smoke, mental oil consumption and i seem to think it's not running as speedily as it could...

My car is a boggo 850 T5 ('96) with a 15g-straight flange. Can anyone tell me if i can slap a T5-R (16t) turbo in replacement without having to do anything more than an ECU mod ???

I'm looking for either a 15g turbo (straight flange) or 16t off a T5-r if it's a straight forward swap and no possibility of damage to the engine.

(i'm also intending to check & replace hoses as i'm aware that maybe part of my problem)

any advice??????
