Ooh, is it a secret?

Was it dogging?

Does look lovely.
Estates are better for getting it on in front of strangers though.

The plan is to strip it. Need some parts for my car and sell the rest? Not really a bad car to say how long it's been parked up for?

That's what I'll do with it, it would be the 5th I've put back on the in a year and £5k is way more than it would cost, I do 95% of the work myself, what I can't do (physically or able to Oblark helps with).

As long as it's rolling, with loom, interior and dash intact I can stick it back on the road easily.

What parts did you need? Could you not have taken them off a STD saloon t5, then possibly have sold this on as is or fixed and sold on.

Monday 5th December 2016, 11:09
I needed a new boot and other body parts this one come up if it wasn't for me buying it it would have gotten took off them and crushed. As the lads I got it off didn't have any insurance, Mot or tax it's not my fault it's an R it's a bonus for me and for others. ETTIENNE if u was that bothered about it u should have bought it when u had the chance or u could have offered me something I couldn't refuse I have already got three cars to maintain this has helped my gul out massively so nothing is going to waste mate

I asked many times if it was forsale via pm and on thread, but you never got back to me ref buying it complete, I also asked Nottst5.

I would have made you a very good offer on the car a lot more than you get breaking it.

I understand the needs for parts and have all the parts you required here, or a possible swap for another R.

But it's in parts now at least parts came off before the crusher.

Only R I broke recently was the 855r with rot in the shell, I did try and sell it complete with the 6sp Brembo 4 pots etc, but in the end after 6 months of trying I had to break it as needed the space.

I made probably another 2k over what I would have sold it for which is always handy, other than that must have been nearly 4 years since I've broken an R up, just broke a 855 t5 for parts for the T5r that's coming now ish

But every Volvo R I own has been saved and the xc90 as well, I won't be selling any of them now, even p2r's are getting thin on the ground.

Sometimes there's no choice but to sell them on, or break them if you can't sell. In an ideal world it would be nice to keep them all going but sometimes it isn't option. Everyone has their own ££££ going on in their lives & cars cannot be always top priority

Definitely for sure there are logistical issues.

I did ask about buying complete for one reason there is only 2 854r's in teal left and would have saved it for that reason alone.

I'd have paid a good price as well.

How many left can be miles out. Natherns hasn't had tax, MOT or insurance for several years and I think it was an insurance total loss. Loads has T-5 on the V5 the same as lots of 2.4 T5s were down as 3ltr lol.

I think the best thing for an insurance total loss R that's been used illegally is to use it to keep several other cars on the road. Repairing it to an unsatisfactory standard helps nobody.

I've got production numbers from the factory and collected the all the sale adverts for 5 years, "how many left" is the last line in info I use, but only any real help with what's taxed.

Cars that are broken up can sit as untaxed on there for years.

Maybe that they are on private plates now, I did check a while back and have all the sale adverts I've collected for last 5 years, I use that and the factory number info I have.

How many left is only any real use for what's left taxed.

I did see one years back driving nr Poole, but it's a holiday area and could be one from up Glasgow way.

I think they only produced 6 iirc, this one wouldn't have been one I'd collected info on as before I started the database.

Not that it matters, but I asked "I'd be interested in buying the whole car if your moving it on"

You said where have you seen it? Then went quiet, then went quiet after I gave you the reg number and explained where I'd seen it.

I would expect you to come back with a price

Nath, you don't have to explain your actions why you broke the car, it's upto you what you do. No one else should give a f@*k, if it helps keep other cars on the road that that's a bonus.
