Took T5 for MOT today, 207K on the clock running very well at the mo spent time on exhaust manifold gaskets, air filter to turbo and turbo to inlet and any other vacuum pipes, in short she running like a sewing machine with lots of torque - never been better since I bought her 10 years ago! If I'm critical there might be a bit of oil coming in from the breather(PCV) system which is on my to do list.
Anyway she passed
fast idle
CO 0.07% Max 0.30%
HC 5ppm Max 200ppm
Lambda 1.00 1.04-0.96
Natural Idle
CO 0.08% Max 0.50%
But whilst testing I heard her being revved at I reckon 3500 for what seemed like 10mins and was very hot when I jumped in her to drive home nearly caravan over a welsh mountain pass hot.
On asking the tester said he had to do the test twice, to me the figures above are quite good
Is anyone else experiencing difficultly getting through? Is this normal practice?
