Should an S60 have a grille in front of the intercooler ?

If it's standard, it's the A/C radiator you can see, the intercooler is between the a/c rad and radiator.

If so, no, they never came with any protection.

If you're really worried about it, you can buy mesh from eBay or halfrauds, cut it to fit and stick it in with tiger glue.
