Received this bad boy today :) Turbosmart CBV for my K24. I wanted to be different than getting the Forge CBV and I didn't want to get Forge version as you don't have to change the spring in the Turbosmart. This was also a bargain!

Will be interested to know what sort of boost you get.
There's obviously a spring inside and I wonder what the rating is? Is it same as OE @ approx 10-12psi or is it higher?

It can support upto 25 psi.

It's the same one as Elevate uses. Except mine doesn't have Evelate logo and was cheaper.

I've heard rotating the compressor housing will allow easy access to the CBV. Hopefully will get it installed this weekend and maybe a before and after sound video.

Just looking at the cbv you bought and according to the sticker on the box, it's a reconditioned valve, not brand new!

Not sure what you mean about 'rotating the housing' but access to the cbv is difficult.
The turbo/exhaust needs to be cold too.
You'll need to remove the OTE brace and fresh air snorkel from MAF to turbo and that about all you can remove. The lower bolt is an absolute arse to get to and without proper tools virtually impossible.

Good luck.

Yeah I know i brought it used from Amazon for £39.00. According to Amazon it was just a damaged box. It's £102.00 brand new which is still cheaper than Forge.

Over at swedespeed, quite a few people tried it this way and was much easier.

So I figure I will add a huge shortcut for this install, that will shave the time in half!
If you slightly loosen the 5 compressor housing bolts on the backside, you can rotate the housing easily (pictured here behind the oil line)

Here is a shot of the cbv after you rotate the compressor housing clockwise 120 degrees

As you can see you can now access the cbv and replace in about two minutes without removing the coolant lines! Hope this helps
