So been on the swither, on should I chop the R in against something newer, slower more boring. You know the drill. But instead I have decided to be a proper Volvo driver and buy a dog. Say hello to 11month old Labrador Cooper.
Car was looking proper good at the weekend and going like a train, a Bullet version. Only problem at the moment I have a clunk right front. Worn drop link. So called FRF on Friday. A pair of front drop links delivered to the door £131 (This after me giving them close to a grand for to struts), sorry Lee and Harv I went non original. Called my local factors, they said two options, cheap one £18 a pair or our premium version £36 a pair. I can't justify the near hundred pound extra for one with a Volvo sticker on the bag, so after market "Premium" getting the business.

Cooper will keep you on your toes, that's one reason I got the V70 good friend has a guide dog, Umber must get a photo of him hard up against the rear window :) got a boot liner but his basket slides around on it., do you have a dog guard yet ! , or a boot liner .

No boot liner, bought a huge RSPCA beanbag come matt thing that fill 90% of boot area, it's more comfy for his weekend trips down the coast (60miles each way). No dog guard either, just using the load net things that pull out of the back of the seats up to the ceiling. He has never tried to get through them.

Good call on the drop links Harv.

Hello Cooper from Harvey and Heidi, pictured in a Barjo dog cage in the back of my p1 V70 R. Keeps the dogs nice and contained, and I would recommend one.

PMSL! I thought of you when I posted this up. My wife likes the name 'Harvey', hence the dog's name.

If he sees another dog, then he's gone, and you can shout Harvey, Harv, Harvs or any other name for that matter and he won't come back until he's ready. Lack of training on my behalf, but he's a big softie with no nastiness whatsoever, and has had other dogs turn on him, and then he will come back to me.

Feeling guilty, just had Super Cooper Neutered today. Fair to say he is a little tender where those big dangly things used to be. Hope I did the right thing. Everyone I spoke to said do it before a year old and he is 11months so.... Cue abuse for being bad dog owner.

I still have to get Harvey done, and he's 2 now. I was told to leave him until he'd finished growing, but then my first golden retriever was done at 6 months as suggested by the vet at the time.

Ours in the back of my coupe. She's happy to just lay there while I'm driving local trip. Longer journey she's happy in the back of our golf hatchback.

What did you get?

To not two, I am a clot.
Anyway I got that well known brand of suspension components (not) called Firstline. They seem to be doing the business and when the parts gave me them to have a waggle, they certainly seemed sturdier that the £16 pair versions. So far so good. New wiper motor doing great also. I'm happy for a change.
