Tyre pressures

I usually run 34-35psi on my Ph2 T5 with the 17" wheels. But was very surprised today when I referred to the manual which advises 200kpa (29psi) if carrying 1-3 people (tick) and driving under 160kph (tick, majority of the time. 29psi seems awfully low for such a heavy car!

I run mine at about 50 psi on fast driving with a fairly heavy load, if I run them at anything less the edges of the tyres wear out very quickly the higher pressure seems to make the tread flatter and it stands less on the tyre wall. It feels a little bit skittish in very wet weather
But you get used to how it handles very quickly.
It's probably deadly dangerous lol but it seems to feel better.
Ps should have said its a 2002 ph2 v70 T5.

I run at 45psi on my 850, as above, tyre wear is better & the car handles more crisply - was recommend to me by a Volvo mechanic who believes low 30s is no good on the old Swede machine.

42 all round for me on the 17s on the workbus.

Boot permanently full of gear (about 300kg) and a heavy TDi lump up front.

Any more and I can't get any traction, made worse by the weight in the back, any less and the wallowing gets on my tits!

40 front 38 back on my 850 derv, any less it feels too loose, any more is both too hard and pushes on too much in the corners.

Depending on tyres, I'll run 36 (Michelin) or 38 (Avon)
