Anyone have any advice or issues with replacing with new oil pump. Any comments would be highly recommended

Hi Ben, there's been a few things said here on oil pumps and the gist of it seems to be new pumps have been troublesome for some and old pumps seem to be very good even with mile on then (obviously if there are very high milers then may be a new pump, but strip and inspect for wear first) and double seal the oil pickup. That's what I've picked up along the way, hope that helps mate.

What Moley said is spot on from my knowledge.

If you have oil pressure problems, check the o-rings and replace with double first.

Thanks guys have fitted a new oil pump because the other one had a wine when cold had enough of the noise more than one thing. Took apart and there was quite a clearence between the outer gear and the casing. The casing had like fractures through the Aluminium and scoring on the gear faces with quite a sharpe edge on the larger of the gear gears where it had worn on the casing, When you mean double seal mate do you mean put two outer o rings on?
