Anyone used BroTek in Lanark , they say they can tune 90% of volvos using the obd port with Shark Performance sortware. Dont know if they could do and old R but wondered what anyones experiences were.

Not heard of that particular outfit but Shark have a reasonable reputation. Which particular vintage of R?

Its a 1996 850R. The little flap says obd2 but thought it might be a bit old to have that. The guy I bought the car from said it was originally tuned by MRC and i have a couple of chips but the boost gauge maybe only goes just above where standard would be so think it could be more when i look at some of the boost gauge pictures on here.

Not sure if Shark go that far back. (I've just text someone who might know though). If it's just a stage1 you are after, re-mapped ECUs come up for sale every so often.

Don't want to go daft with the car as want to keep it as standard looking as possible but at already has a miltek turbo back exhaust which sounds lovely. Just want a little extra performance.

I'm 99% sure Shark don't do M4.4 anymore.

How did you get on Scott? I'm from Lanark and wasn't aware of BroTek. I'm going to look them up and maybe give them a shout as I'm in the same situation as you regards tuning. I'll let you know ,for future referance, how they get on.

BroTec were recommended to me by Shark performance after I enquired about a Scottish authorised dealer for a Shark remap. Not had the chance to go over there yet, so any feedback would be interesting.
