Remote central locking help

I'm fitting remote central locking to my T5,its ex police and doesn't have the facory fit,so I got an aftermarket kit.I've wired it up,and the car will open with the remote,but will not lock.If I disconnect the plug in the drivers door,it will lock and open all the other doors,as soon as I connect it,it won't lock...??? It has deadlocks,but dunno how this will affect the locking..anyone else have any ideas?

All sorted now,had to cut a thin black wire to the doorlock...Now I can run led's etc by remote.
Sod's law,I just spotted a factory plip and rciever on ebay...typical...
