I'd all ready got it penciled in for next month, the stickier track has to be worth a tenth or 2, but on the down side it is easier to break something on a sticky track

That bucket sat will make all the difference. Of course, if you had an MX5, you already have a short throw gearbox. ;)

its only a manual adjustment seat anyway, so won't be much weight saving. As for the MX-5, i'll still with a proper car & buying the £20 shift kit thanks lol

No idea, I think book is mid 15s, problem is I'd need the hood down to run it at Shakey, as I definitely won't fit with my crash helmet on.

They do seem to get of the line well, possibly lose out on terminal speed though?

They only weigh a tonne, and they're really short geared, 5th is only 20mph/1000RPM, so should get up there quite well, lack of ultimate power will be its downfall.

I can't do Sunday as I meant to be going to a Christening, I think it would be better to bring the Grand daughter to Shaky and splash some high octane fuel on her forehead and baptise her in the religion of Drag Racing........but the others don't seem to understand much to my annoyance !! Racing the Saturday instead, is looking less and less likely for me too....will have to stick with 14.3 till next season by the look of it ..... :troutslap

well if everybody's out, hope it pisses down on Sunday and we'll all feel good that we couldn't race anyway, oh well bring on 2016 and we'll start all over again in our some what pointless pursuit of the quickest 1/4 time.....well we'd only have to find something else to occupy our time if we weren't running the 1/4......good luck everyone for 2016

Yep, we went, it was rammed, and running didn't get started until 13.00, as they were drying the track, so we only got 4 runs each, my best time in the MX5 was 15.88, beating a stripped out Renault Clio Sport 172 in the process, best time in the S60R was 14.28. I only got a couple of photos, but will post them later.

No, just us. Best day we've had at Shakey is 18 runs each, so 4 was a bit of a disappointment, but we got to drive both cars home. ;)
