View Full Version : I've got HIDs, deal with it

:B_rant:

I've had enough.

During the recent darker nights, I'm getting more and more flashed by motorists whom are convinced that I've got full beam on.

The problem is, I don't want to sacrifice my correctly setup HID lights, just to please some people with crap lights.

I'd understand if they were pointing up or into the car in fronts rear view mirror, but they aren't.

Sod 'em.

That's better :)

how do you propose they deal with them?

lol !

Tell me nicely that I should have my light checked out perhaps ?

I don't mind the odd flash - just normal to indicate I might have full beam on.

It's the rapid fire flash flash flashers that probably cause more of a hazard !

Chris

my full beam isn't as bright as my dips, lol ! Bi-xenons would be cool !

ah, I disagree - I'd like to lower the beam, but that means affecting my right to put light on the road correctly ?

Chris When my HID's were first fitted the previous owner adjusted them low,
why not adjust them down a click on the leveller switch? as that is what i have done and i get no flashes at all :)
I melt a few bumpers though :haha:

Sorry but I dont see why other motorist should "deal" with you having HIDS? If they are flashing you surely that tells you that they are too bright and obviously people are finding it a hazard. All those people who have flashed you cant be in the wrong surely?

They're just jealous.

Yes, they are bright, but correctly adjusted according to MOT laws.

The Police use them ?

I'll tweak them down an ickle ickle bit - I like to keep other motorists happy.

hehe :)
