Clicking on right hand lock

My V70R has had a clicking from the front O/s suspension since I replaced the engine and gearbox earlier this year, the cv joint looks ok on the driveshaft however it is as replacement driveshaft as my old one had a ripped cv boot. Is it possible that the CV joint is knackered even though the boot is ok? The clicking is only there on RH turns and is there no matter how much lock I put on. If it is the CV joint then where's the best place to get a replacement?.. are they still available from Volvo and if so anyone know how much they are?

I'd be changing the cv Tc for sure. Just because the boot is ok doesn't mean the joint is.

I had this, it turned out to a loose hub bolt!

Clicking was coming from the L/H side, however the R/H hub bolt was loose.

Go easy tightening them, check the torque value first as its quite low

I fitted XC90 hub bolts to ensure this did not happen again
