OMG Volvo, Please let me know who designed the brake pipe setup for the rear brakes so I can give him a swift kick in the Nads. What on earth were they thinking. Removing the calliper to change the disk is a bit of a chore. Hard piped half way back across the rear beam????? making it way more difficult than it needs to be to remove the calliper to change the disk. I guess they never heard of putting a flexi line at the calliper to make things easy to work on. Are all the other standard consumable change jobs on the 850 are as much of a pain as this?

Tbh I've never found it an issue to change the rear discs and pads. If that's a pain for you I'd give up now lol. The rest of the consumables are not too bad

Oh and never buy an awd.

Nop, no problem with mine, but then again, I don't have a rear beam.

Did you guys just bend the pipes on the passenger side where it has a Y connector? Having a flexi at the calliper would make this a whole lot easier. I was just going strip it down to have a quick look at the shoes for the handbrake and clean up the adjusters but decided against it after seeing how it was hard piped in, Just adjusted the handbrake through the hole in the disk.
