C70 T5 Play in steering rack outer joint

I got an advisory last year for play in the steering rack inner joint.

I take this to mean the CV joint under the boot so I have ordered a new end is this a simple off and on job (wheel off, break the joint on the hub, unscrew, replace etc) then a re-track please. Or is there anything unseen I need to do? Its the only thing she will fail on for her MOT in a few days.

Inner tie rod by the sounds of it. But yes it sounds like what you were saying.

Yeah he's a good guy and sits must of the work as a charity for people. Plus he understands people who may be on a budget and isn't like the IPD guys who get everything new.
