I'm trying to get to the bottom of my cars sluggishness a friend said check to see if the cat hasn't blocked happend to his, he said take it he cat off and rip all the guts out and put it back on empty cat. Anybody done such a thing on here and will it fail it's mot.

Probbly fail on emissions Kieran , my mate has a Mercedes Vito van which has just failed emissions because the previous owner did just what you suggest.
It was pretty obvious to the mot inspector too, it had been cut and shut.
If you dont do much high speed motorway driving , the cat can easily get a bit manky, cos it hardly ever gets up to full temperature.

So bad idea then orca lol no way around it because you need the cat for emissions. Stupid laws we never had the ffing things years ago :(

Try using Cataclean, it's had some good write ups, though if your cat is really blocked, it may just need replacing.

I'm pretty sure you will have emissions problems , Cataclean is a good idea too as suggested,
Buy a T 5 Kieran , you cant resist kicking the arse out of them , cat stays nice and clean.
