Straight to angled housing turbo

Hello,

For those who changed their straight housing for an angled one, did you have to change the heat shield, please?

In other words, did you ever see an angled housing turbo with this heat shield installed over a straight housing turbo (#18 on pix), please?

The heatshield on my pre ME7 (straight flange) C70, and the ME7 (angle flange) Convertible I had are the same.

A few cars I know had them removed to access the actuator and never replaced...;)

Thank you both for yours answers. It seems that heat shield designed for straight outlet doesn't hamper angled outlet wastegate rod.
