Hello peoples,

My brakes need changing and i've no idea on which ones to get, i think the discs may also need a change!

Can anyone tell me which ones i should go for, i have 19" wheels on my c70, and would appreciate if you could tell me where the cheapest place to get them is.

Is there any kind of "package" that anyone is aware of, i'm sure ive seen somewhere an upgrade brake system package?!?!?!

Thanks

I've seen some packages on USA ebay that look pretty good, drilled brembo discs, and uprated pads, and the exchange rate is good too! I've bought loads of stuff from the 'States, and always have been 100% happy

depends on how much you want to spend and what you want. Do you have the 302mm discs? What is your driving style like? I tend to recomend OEM pads with slotted discs for the joe blow car owner. If you want more performance then there are other options.

i just bought the car a few months ago, so no idea whats on at the moment!

Ive had a look at the drilled brimbo discs on ebay, look ok, what do you think?

I drive average at most times, but do tend to get excited and drive fast, and need to brake fast, so would the above be suiteable? Dont mind spending the money if i know there going to be good and last. What other options have i got?

I have had a problem with brakes in the past, every time ive changed brake pads, they ALWAYS seem to squeek!!!!!!! Well annoying!!!!

Anyone know where im going wrong?

You basically have a couple of options which are entirely governed by the amount of money you want to spend and how good you need the brakes to be:

few hundreds of £; upgrade the discs and pads to a better set of the same size (small improvement)
few more hundreds of £; if you have 280mm discs at the moment you can get caliper carriers to space the calipers out and fit 302mm discs (bit more improvement)
four figures of £ of which the first is a "one"; fit a "big brake" upgrade kit (major improvement)

So as you can see the choice is quite varied...
