I want to fit a new turbo boost pipe to my T5. More correctly I should say an old metal one to replace the piece of plastic s**t fitted by Volvo after Ford bought them.

So I got the pipe from Shem Green, and he also supplied the v-band compressor for the turbo, because the design was changed of course (typical Ford).

So here are two questions.

1 Is it feasible to fit the compressor to the side of the turbo in-situ? Or have I got to drop the turbo? :grumpy:

2 Before it disappears into the bowels of the engine should I fit a Forge Recirculation Valve? :mischievo

So it's a late p2r? (P2.5) All I've done is cut off the v band and tig weld a piece of replacement tube and job done.

Much less hassle and don't need v band

Thanks for that Ettienne, only trouble is I haven't got a welder and couldn't weld to save my life.

It might be a turbo off job to do properly and you'd be better off just paying a fabricator £40 and putting it on yourself.

Sooooo much less hassle.
