Well I've got a BBQ to bring and also bought some fire-lighters and lump wood for it today.

Fridge is stocked with beer, steaks, pork and lamb.

Not sure what time ill be there yet, don't want to pay for Saturday so likely late afternoon or may convoy down with James. Either way Ill be there BBQ in the boot.

yep it's one of the few scrutineering checks, that it's not going to jump about in the unlikely event of disaster happening

its not standard mate. No rear seats, exhaust, air filter & think its been mapped. I've got an M50 intake manifold coming as well

Absolutely fantastic weekend, which didn’t go to plan but was awesome none the less, big thanks to Colin for the help with the clutch on the way over and Jimbob and Emlyn for the bleed kit they brought too. With 3 stops for bleeding on the way we arrived with a car that could run, got the tents sorted but missed scrutineering so waited to race sunday, had a cracking night with the usual crowd and the Judge flew in did his set and then up’d sticks and proceeded on to work I believe. Race day went well to start with myself and Pedro cued as first cars, just waiting for the moisture to stop and running to commence, which it did.


1st run was good, grip of the wasn’t perfect probably due to the moisture that fell whilst waiting for them to declare the strip fit to race (road legals only to start, till track dried full and the weather cleared) 2nd run was better but traction off the line was still catching me out. run 3 a boost leak seemed to develop after what felt a good launch. I adjusted some suspect hoses and clips and popped the slicks on for the 4th run (big mistake) I did a massive burn out to get some heat into the tyres that have not been used for a least the last 2 years and when dropped off the throttle along with increased grip the engine must have rocked/twisted more than normal and ripped the exhaust flexi joint completely off the downpipe, thus I was out of the running and went and watched the rest of the days racing.


It was a bit of a noisey run home to say the least and as the lambda sensor was no longer really working the car drank about 7.5 gallons of fuel so a bit pricey too

as for times and Colin will chuckle a bit here as the best I managed was the second run at 14.7

Ed was running a very neat black Mitsubishi Colt and getting quicker with each run and had some very close races (one was 0.005)
