Tonight i've bought myself a manual, dark blue, 1997 V70 t5, It has 170k on it & needs some work. But i got it cheap, really cheap :mischievo

It gets delivered tomorrow and ill get a proper look at it then. took it for a quick run around the block and at 3k when the boost kicks in and that 5pot makes all the right noises i was all smiles & was sold
Ill throw up some photos tomorrow when she gets here.

Looking forward to getting it on the road and having some fun!

Oh the bodges! ABS lights been pulled out, fault codes
ABS-443 Pump motor - Electrical or mechanical fault.
ABS-433 Outlet Valve, left rear wheel. fault in the valve coil circuit.
ABS ABS-112 control module general fault.

Whilst on the ramp i did notice the brake line was just single line to a splitter at the rear and thought that was odd and thought nothing of it, obviously had an issue with abs and pulled a brake pipe off and blanked it and ran both rear brakes of the single!

The wee :icon_soap!
Also noticed the engine light does not either but no faults in that so must just be the bulb. Ill best look in to this further before i do any more! does anyone on the forum do abs module repairs?

Im not sure whether to be pissed or laugh about it, perhaps both! Onwards and upwards!

Yep the abs will be the ecu wobbly dave does them

Not much of an update stripped front brakes. Drivers side caliper was seized so popped the piston and seals out cleaned up and refitted although really need to be replaced, anyone know where i can get a piston/seal kit? Also looking to stick new disks pads all round as mine are gubbed, anyone used this kit from ebay? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/850-T5R-95-97-BRAKE-DISCS-302mm-FRONT-REAR-PADS-/290370175262?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&fits=Car+Make%3AVolvo&hash=item439b69411e#vi-ilComp (I assume there isnt a difference with 850 302mm discs and v70 and are the rears 280mm)?

i didnt have to go that far but i decided to remove the headlights, indicators, grill to clean up and found a few bits that needed attention so just kept pulling bits off. Decided whilst i had a bit of extra space id do the pcv system which was choked!

Back End is still abit too high, so been recommended to use the original spring seats and do away with the adjusters.

Shes going great, looks the part now too!

They're the same coilovers I have, are you enjoying the bouncy ride? lol

Everyone who has a turbo needs to experience a boost pipe coming off lol

Nevr had a boost pipe come off, and hopefully never will. ;)

To be honest the ride is a lot better than i expected, and it has certainly tightened the car up a bit, the old suspension looked to be 20 years old, and very floaty. For the price of the coilovers, the seem ample. time will tell i suppose but the build quality appears to be ok. And it was a longer warranty than some of the other more expensive ones! How long have you had yours on for and how are they holding up?

Mine have been on over 2 years now, TBH I haven't had any problems with them, it's just the ride's so harsh, they are great on a track though. :D

MY old suspension must have been really bad then lol i dont think the rides too bad at all. That been said i have been in some rock solid slammed to the deck cars, and minis so this suspension is almost luxury for me! Im told to stick the original spring seat in the back to get it lower, it has a very face down, arse up look going on! :sorry:

Just take the adjuster out of the back, and it'll level up nicely.
