So, I spot a Volvo 850R leather alcantara manual cover on the Bay.
He wants the not inconsiderable sum of £60.
I'm feeling flush it clearly states that it'll be posted within 2 days via Royal Mail 1st class, this is last Friday.
So .... Like the Oyster I wait...
I'm thinking, well he'll have all day Friday and the weekend to put it in a jiffy bag, hardly serious P+P here.
So he'll just have to put a couple of 1st class Large letter on it and post Monday, I mean its just so easy.. it'll go in a letterbox and everything.
So Wednesday comes.. nothing and Thursday Comes .. same then Friday ditto finally Saturday (tday).
So I mail him with a cheery "Not arrived yet is there a problem"
I get the "It'll help if you could Read properly and take the time to study my listing"..I run 2 businesses and have a new born child. All very aggressive
Somehow, he conjours up a graphic that says it might officially not be with me till the 10th... 1st I've seen of it.
Of course, if he'd said Sorry mate been very busy I have 2 businesses to run and have a new born child I haven't actually got round to it yet but I'll put it in the post on Monday mate? No problem at all!
It's not hard is it?
Of course then I look at his o...l...d... feedback....AH YES...
Oh dear me... all over 12months ago so doesn't chime up automatically.
About half a dozen negatives about bad attitude, poor description, late delivery, refusing to sell things as they didn't reach what he had in mind etc etc
I'm now beginning to think that maybe I was unreasonable? But I have the feeling that he'd just decided to have another go on the Bay (after the 12 months had gone by) and he felt it was all unravelling yet again.
He seems to specialise in Volvo
Oh gawd...he might be a member here...I won't mention the name just in case
I've been selling and buying on Ebay since 2000 now and it was a bit Dodge City back in the day to be honest..
I'll think of the best Ebay story and post it.
I told him to just give me a refund by the way.... we'll see

Must admit I'm not one for getting things wrapped & in the post quickly, but that's why I don't bother selling anything on eBay very often

Well, to be blunt, no-one but him gives a toss about his 2 businesses & new born child. Those are his choices. If he is too busy to post stuff he shouldn't take the money. But no good telling him that as no doubt it will end up with negative feedback for you.

It's so easy to send stuff too - I posted some headlights & indicators in an old Argos microwave box covered in tape. Just turned up at the post office with said box, exchanged niceties, slid the box over the counter & was charged a few quid for it based on weight.
