I was working at a blokes house in Glasgow today, and it turned out he was a fellow Volvo nutcase, we were talking the usual Volvo stuff when he noticed i had a dent in my rear door, Turns out he is a paintless dent removal specialist, and offered to fix the door while we were working on his house.

The result was amazing , he slid a lever thing inside the door and popped the whole dent out , he then tidied up a few other minor dings in the door, it all took about ten minutes , I didnt think it was even possible to do and had been looking for a replacement door, as repairing it old style would have cost a fortune. Its was like magic.
He didnt even want payment, he said he just knew it would come out perfectly and couldnt resist the challenge, I did manage to force some beer vouchers on him.

Doncha just love seeing someone who is good at what they do. This bloke is a real find.

He used a long steel rod with a bend in the end which threads inside the panel through the hole where the wires go into the door and pressed the big dent out from inside, he used a reflective thing which lets them see the exact line of the dent by reflecting lines on the door skin.
It was very very quick, there are a few videos on youtube of how they do it, saved me the hassle of replacing or repairing the door.

I had a few shopping trolley dents taken out by a company at a VolvoTuning meet, really impressed by the speed and skill of these people.

And a really nice bloke too. He offered to straighten out my door as soon as he saw it and didn't even want payment, he saw it as a challenge. It was a pretty deep dent too. Some muppet had hit it turning in my street and bu66ered off without leaving a note as usual
