After 4000 faultless miles I can honestly say that I'm in love with Volvo (Well you guys did warn me lol).

Anyway, went to start it in the petrol station this morning and got an error message "unable to start try again" or similar.

Started after I turned the ignition all the way back and retried and has been fine since.

Just wanted to know if you think this is something obvious on it's way out, or a momentary electrical gremlin that won't appear again.

TIA

Sure I've seen something about the key or antenna. Don't quote me on that but someone will be along who knows what they're talking about.

But Ive got a feeling it's something related to that mines done it before but never done it since

It can be related to the antennae, and if you google that warning message you'll find lots of info. I've this only once on my 2001 T5, about 6 or so months ago, and had the car about 3 years now. If it starts to happen more often then there will be an underlying problem, but it's possible it was just a one off.
