hi gents driving home from tonight all the dash illumination went off heater controls and the radio illumination as well any ideas is this a fuse problem any help would be great thanks

10A fuse usually handles all the dash/heater/radio illumination. Dunno about an 850 but on a 70 series it's fuse 35.

Thanks for the reply yeah fuse 35 on 850 to but also dose the sunroof which is working

quick update fitted my spare dimmer switch and headlight switch this morning still no dash illumination any ideas would be great full thanks

On my p1 V70 I had a sticking ignition barrel, and had the same symptoms as you until I nudged the key. I had no dash lighting, indicators etc. It happened sometimes from start-up and sometimes part way through a journey.

thanks for the reply mark the indicators are all ok as are the all other dash warning lights :grumpy:

Could be a loose connection behind dash mate plugs came loose on my red one , just a thought bud

All sorted found the bulb that sits above the rear heated seat switches was smashed and had earthed out tripping the dash illumination out thanks for the help guys

Both mine have done this, not worth the aggro for changing the barrel.
