Hi, folkes, long time since I was on here, but i've just took delivery of a nice blue 850 T5 auto. In great condition, but has a slight misfire on full chat at approx 4,000rpm upwards. I have done the obvious of change of spark plugs which has made no difference. Normal driving runs smooth as silk, but as soon as you load her up, there is a hesitation/ misfire, which is not releasing the potential of the motor. I suppose the next thing is distributor, leads, and rotor arm???

Yeah, the only thing you can do is work through the ignition system.

I'd try the dizzy cap & rotor arm first as they are the cheapest.

Could well be, may drop the fault code reader on, but it's going to be process of elimination no doubt, dizzt cap, rotor arm, HT lead, coil!!!
