R manifold troubles

Hi all I've just had a s60r manifold fitted to my p2 v70 t5 but we can not get rid of a slight blow on it they have put all new gaskets on and it's as tight as it goes it's not cracked but is still blowing slightly does anybody know if the gaskets for the R manifold are different to a standard t5 cheers

Did you get the set of 5 or the one that's in one.

Yeah they were separate not genuine Volvo though

Have the manifold skimmed it may be warped and replace with genuine gaskets

Yep, it's not uncommon for them to warp.

That makes sense as it was a pig to get on didn't line up as easy as we thought it would ill get it booked in for a skim and get down Volvo for gasket ill let you all know if it solves it cheers guys

you've not got one of the gaskets upside down ??, which is also quite common as a few on here have done it before not mentioning any names....lol

Not sure on that one as mechanic did it I'm going to try and get the gasket that's one piece so hopefully shouldn't have that problem although it wouldn't surprise me if it was that as it's only a slight blow right out of the corner

You can if you like, my new gearbox is currently sat on the bench awaiting fitting and Alex has taken the liberty of putting a huge sign on it say " fill with oil " the cheek sod, as if I'd forget......

Ask for a gasket for a later model S40/V30, or go to your Ford dealer :)

I think this is the volvo part no 8699467

This one might be of use.......you may or may not, have to snip a little bit of one end for a perfect fit

That one looks just like the one I've ordered hopefully that and a skim will sort it
