Hi there,

Anyone know where I can get Nivomats at a decent price for an R AWD?? Also any options other than Nivomats like coil over kits?

If you have the earlier (P1) V70 R then I believe I am still correct in saying that you have only genuine Volvo branded Nivomats available. I did at one time source some directly from Sachs in Germany but that source dried up on me.

Best try a local dealer plus MRG in Chippenham and maybe Braydon Motor Company in Downs Road, London E5 .

I can supply just the front 'coil over' struts from my kit that you will find here on my : http://kalmar-union.com/parts/volvo-850_s70_v70_c70-suspension/, but I have no alternative for the Nivomats at the rear. Not to forget that you must match these Nivomats to the original Volvo rear springs otherwise you can get some very odd results.

Don.

If you dont need them then PFV does a kit to replace the rear shocks with standard Bilstein shocks, I have them on my car and they're really good.

Isn't yours FWD though Craig, the AWD rear suspension is totally different.

You could always consider coilovers as a replacement?

They are cheaper than stock Volvo springs and shocks all round on one of these AWDs.

I've written about them more in my thread, linked in my sig.

Here are the KW V2s I'm running. (http://www.larkspeed.com/index.pl?p=I15267004&a=i) They are your cheapest option AFAIK.

One of the drawbacks of the AWD cars sadly. Best bet is to look out for one being broken and get the nivomats 'just in case'. Mine are fine luckily, but I dread the day when I need to replace them! I'll probably just sob quietly and get new Nivomats.

I know! I didn't say cheap though, I said cheapest ;)

As Sam says we just don't have the options for 'new' suspension on the AWDs so loads of money, you'll find out one day lol
