Hi Gang,

Does anyone know if the Volvo Triton (made by BBS) 18" X 7.5J was actually offered as a factory option for the P1 V70? I understand that they were originally offered in both 17" & 18" as an option for the C70 but am not sure about the V70. I can't see why they wouldn't have been an option if you wanted to pay the extra but would like to know for sure.

I've been running on these rims for the last 6 months (see attachment & avatar) with 225 40's, no rubbing, speedo verified as spot on against GPS, car handles very well when compared to the performance on standard 16" rims. Love the look also :)

My interest is regarding insurance. If the Tritons were a factory available option I guess the car is still within it's original design spec and there are no insurance complications?

Also I'm looking for a suitable spare as mine is 16". I don't really want to drive with mixed diameter wheels if I can avoid it so if anyone knows of a spare Triton or even if there is a suitable spacesaver available please let me know.

Thanks in advance BV70....

Dont think any 18" wheels were ever offered on the P1 V70.

The 18" Tritons were an option on the C70 only and just for a brief period ('98 - '99 I think)

Dont think an 18" will will fit in the spare tyre well either! Maybe wrong though

I managed a 18" Nebula with a 235/40 just squeezed into the well, so a 225/35 or 225/40 should fit. unless the 850 wells are different to the S70's
