VT200 Meet & Tour - Heritage Motor Centre - 12/4/15

It seems ages ago since the awesome meet at RAF Cosford which saw members from VPCUK, T5D5, T5 Owners, VOC & Volvo Tuning coming together in support of the day. A total of 82 Volvo's turned up which was spectacular but also help raise over £360 which was donated to the West Midlands Air Ambulance charity, whose Red Helicopter is based at Cosford....a truly fantastic day.

Well 2015 brings us the VT200 - 200 Volvo's ONE BIG EVENT

The venue for VT200 is the

Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon, Warwickshire CV35 0BJ

SUNDAY 12th April 2015

The Heritage Motor Centre is home to the world’s largest collection of British Cars; it boasts nearly 300 cars in its collection which span the classic, vintage and veteran eras and is a mecca for car enthusiasts.

The VT200 Meet has been allocated space for 200 Volvo cars of all models on this day which is enough to fill the entire North car park at this world class venue.

We will be supported by Volvo dealers as well as many trade stands and we're working to ensure we jam in various fun activities and competitions. (More news will follow).

In attendance, there will be the original P1800 which stared with Roger Moore in the 60's TV series 'The Saint' making an appearance along with a genuine Volvo 850 BTCC touring car estate racer, raced by Jan Lammers . If you own a P1800 or an 850 model there will be some special photo shoot opportunities with these two stars of sport and screen.

So come on, if you enjoyed the meet at Cosford - this will be Bigger and Better......lets get the attendee list started and keep following this thread as I'll post updates to the time table & agenda.

Already looking like a fantastic day with Volvo's and their owners coming as far as Belgium !!

Hey Steven just a opinion but it may be worth adding in the advert not to drive like nob heads there were a few driving like dicks and flooring it at the last meet its certainly not needed,wanted and most of all unsafe.

A good point made Pete, the vast majority of folk who attended were sensible but a few let the side down with their shenanigans when leaving.

There were also rumours of a group of Volvos that were spotted on the M6 pulled by the Police ?? Never heard anything more though tbh....coincidence perhaps ??

The last time I was at Gaydon was for the Sprites 50th birthday meet, when over 1000 Spites and Midgets gathered, Just makes me wonder if when the 850 reaches 50 will be able to assemble even 200 let alone a 1000, just made me think as you don't see many sprite and Midgets on the road these days.

i do like Gaydon, the VOC held a gathering there for a few years & filled the whole front carpark (not sure why it was dropped). The museum's worth looking round just by itself

A Quick update taken from the VT200 Facebook page:

Hi everyone,

Just another update on our rapidly approaching meeting at the Motor Heritage Museum on Sunday April 12th.

I wanted to confirm that parking at the event is free along with the outside attractions we’ve been lining up, (see below), this also includes access to climbing frame and child’s playground area.

The entire site is both child and wheelchair friendly so everyone will find getting around easy and enjoyable.

To attend the Meet is FREE but there is a charge to enter the Museum.

If you wish to enter the museum or take a Land Rover off road experience, VolvoTuning.Net has negotiated the following admission and ride prices, but these tickets are limited at these reduced prices and will be issued on the day from the VT Event Tent on a first come, first saved basis!.

We have 60 tickets priced at £5 per person. These will be issued on a first come first served basis on the day.
A further 150 tickets priced at £8.00 per person will also be released on the day once the initial 60 have been sold.
The Land Rover off road experience is £9 per adult and £6 per child. (I will continue to work with Gaydon on bringing down this price on the day).

Normal admission to the Museum is £12 per adult, £8 per child (5-16years), and under 5 years children enter free.
As you can see the VT tickets are great value…..please buy your ticket from the VT Event Tent rather than on the door on the day to ensure you getting the best value from the day

Just a quick recap:

VT200 is held at the Motor Heritage Museum on Sunday April 12th.

Heritage Motor Centre....Banbury Road, Gaydon, Warwickshire, CV35 0BJ (http://www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk/visit/getting-here/)

Parking at the event is FREE - Arrival Time from 09-00 - 10.00

The entire site is both child and wheelchair friendly so everyone will find getting around easy and enjoyable.

To attend the Meet is FREE but there is a charge to enter the Museum.

If you wish to enter the museum or take a Land Rover off road experience, VolvoTuning.Net has negotiated the following admission and ride prices, but these tickets are limited at these reduced prices and will be issued on the day from the VT Event Tent on a first come, first saved basis!.

We have 60 tickets priced at £5 per person. These will be issued on a first come first served basis on the day.
A further 150 tickets priced at £8.00 per person will also be released on the day once the initial 60 have been sold.
The Land Rover off road experience is £9 per adult and £6 per child. (I will continue to work with Gaydon on bringing down this price on the day).

Normal admission to the Museum is £12 per adult, £8 per child (5-16years), and under 5 years children enter free.
As you can see the VT tickets are great value…..please buy your ticket from the VT Event Tent rather than on the door on the day to ensure you getting the best value from the day

It's the o ring, I fitted 2 new ones when I changed the turbo, so they can't have seated properly.
